Ghost

Ivor has been a lifesaver with training our German Shepherd puppy, Ghost. She was extremely mouthy and rambunctious, which was very challenging for all of us, but especially my 2 kids. Ghost grew so fast that I can’t imagine not having Ivor there to help us. We were in way over our heads. Ivor’s training methods are outstanding. He is patient, but firm. Ivor literally has an answer for any situation that you can imagine and gives you the tools to be able to handle all different types of behavior. Ghost’s progress has been tremendous and started the first day of training. We look forward to seeing her progress as we continue training throughout her life. Ozzie

My family wants to thank you for helping us with Ozzie’s behavior. We have never owned a Catahoula Hound, but he was a rescue and a beautiful dog. He was very high spirited and quickly had us trained. It was convenient to have you come to our house, and every session brought an improvement to his behavior. Your system was easy to understand and had a natural progression. We also appreciated you approach of award versus correction. Leap

Ivor has been a huge help training our Golden Retriever. He spends a lot of time with us, making sure the dog (and human) understands that week's lesson. He is very thorough and patient and sends us detailed emails after every session so I know what we have to work on during the week. He is gentle with our dog, yet firm, and our dog is making great strides and is becoming very obedient. He is also flexible so if something isn't working as well as we'd hoped for, he comes up with other methods, depending on how our dog is responding. I would recommend him without reservation 

Abbey

Ivor trained my 2 year old rescue dog for approximately two months. The amount of change that I saw in my dog was astounding in that short period of time. Ivor was so professional in his training. His patience and knowledge on dog training was quite impressive. He was a pleasure to work with and taught us so much about being a dog owner. He would send us notes of our training the next day, which was so helpful with our practice of what we learned. I would recommend him to anyone. If you think that your dog is untrainable, give Ivor a call!!  

Charlie

We have been working with Ivor for the past 6 weeks.  Our golden doodle was only 9 weeks old when we started, and we have already seen tremendous progress.  Ivor is extremely patient and professional and has given us all the tools we have needed to train our puppy.  Ivor's goal oriented training and follow up emails have really helped us succeed.  We are extremely happy with how far Charlie has come in just a few short weeks and look forward to continuing our training with Ivor.

We hired Ivor a few months back to train our Goldendoodle puppy based on a recommendation from a friend.  We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process as well as the progress our dog has made.  Ivor has a unique way of demonstrating the techniques and commands which make the training sessions interesting for both us and our dog.  He constantly goes above and beyond any expectations that we had.  He follows up with emails on the session, checks in with us to make sure the training is going well, and makes himself available to answer questions or concerns.  He truly cares about our dog's well being and it's evident when our dog showers him with attention every time he sees him.  We would highly recommend Ivor for both introductory and advanced training and can't thank him enough for making our dog the best, most well behaved, trained dog he can be.

Ivor has been a wonderful help to my family and my dog, Coco! When we got Coco, she was very high energy and we didn't even know where to start with training. We were overwhelmed!! Ivor provided us with tips and training that has transformed our Coco into a wonderful addition to the family. He was also available for questions and support between training sessions. Cooper

I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Ivor of K9 Training to train my mini Aussie puppy . The dog was out of control , destructive and just unruly . We had a prior trainer who did not reach my dog . Ivor did . He understood that we wanted an obedient dog to enjoy and he realized we did not have that much time to invest . With working schedules it's difficult to train a puppy full time . Ivor gave us time saving tools to address his energy , his destructiveness as well as his nonstop puppy playfulness . While we still know he's got a lot more to learn  I am pleased to say he is a member of the family with minimal problems to still overcome . Ivor listened to our needs and connected with the dog on a much needed level . I would highly recommend Ivor to train my dog again . 

Pearl

Pearl is Leap's little sister. Having gone through training himself, here is leap explaining all the good stuff to Pearl. Pearl is no much bigger and and has come along way....even trying to outshine her bigger brother.

I appreciate your attention to detail as I have come to understand how training works.  I was so impressed that even before we began with Riley, you took the time to explain how Riley "thinks and sees" her world around her.  Through that understanding it has made me more successful in working with her on the various commands and I find I'm excited and looking forward to each new training session!   

Riley is very responsive and doing well.  I know that I have to be consistent and practice my part as well.

Mookie

I was given Ivor's number from one of my son's classmates mother. I was desperate with my Mini Golden-doodle behaviors and have tried two different trainers. I know golden-doodles are bright smart dogs and all I wanted was to have the perfect dog for our family. Although I loved my dog Mookie I was really worried for my kids 9 and 5 since my main problem was guarding and nibbling. When Ivor came he was simply amazing taking a lot of time explaining to us dog behavior and the techniques we were going to implement with Mookie. We felt comfortable and really pleased with his knowledge and enjoyed him educating us to understand Mookie's behavior better. Right now Mookie is another dog we have been working with everything that Ivor had taught us and the difference is just incredible! We enjoy and love Mookie as our family pet and look forward to keep enjoying many more years. Thank you Ivor! 

  

Haddie

I was fortunate to have found Ivor to work with my eight year old lab. She has been pulling when we walk for 8 years and going crazy when someone comes to the door.

Through positive behavior training he taught me how to work with Haddie. He uses a gentle approach while training. He his very knowledgeable about the philosophy of why dogs behave the way they do. I had about six sessions with him and I practiced with Haddie during sessions I still practice with her and have seen a lot of improvement due to the strategies he shared with us. I would highly recommend him for any type of behavior in any breed of canine.
